No, the university does not provide full scholarships. Study at BUT is contract-based.

There are 3 departments:
Department of preschool education: full time and evening courses
Offered education system: 3+1
3 y. at BUT: bachelor degree from BUT + associate bachelor degree from BCU;
+ 1 year at BCU (optionally): bachelor degree of BCU.
Department of architecture: full time course
Offered education system: 3+1
3 y. at BUT: bachelor degree from BUT + associate bachelor degree from BCU;
+ 1 year at BCU: bachelor degree of BCU.
OR 4 y. at BUT: bachelor degree of BUT
Department of Korean business administration: full time course
Offered education system: 2+2
2 y. at BUT: bachelor degree from BUT + associate bachelor degree from BCU;
+ 2 year at BCU: bachelor degree of BCU.

Departments, academic system and tuition fees
According to the International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) by UNESCO, Associate bachelor degree is to be received after finishing first stage of tertiary education (Level 5). Tertiary programs having an educational content more advanced than those offered at ISCED levels 3 and 4. These programs may be academically based or practically oriented / occupationally specific. Academic program of level 5 are more difficult than ISCED level 4, but less difficult than ISCED level 6.
Associate bachelor degree gives its owner the right to start professional career.
Departments, academic system and tuition fees
The tuition fee for the 2020-2021 academic year is as follows: - Department of preschool education: $2200 per annum - Department of architecture and business Korean: $3300 per annum
Tuition fee is paid in national currency (UZS). Tuition fee in UZS is calculated using the exchange rate on the day of admission decree issuance.
Tuition fee does not change during one academic year regardless of the exchange rate fluctuation within said year.
Admission process
According to the internal regulations of the university, the admission is carried out twice for each academic year. Typically, the first admission is in the spring, the second – in the summer. Detailed information on the matter is posted on the official university page in advance. Yearly quota is equally divided between two admissions.

There is a two-phase selection process: language test and interview.
Language test. Language test consists of 60 questions (on vocabulary/grammar/reading). Max score is 60 points.
• Department of “Preschool education” and “Architecture”: English. Approximate complexity level – IELTS 5.5.
• Department of “Korean business administration”: Korean. Approximate complexity level – TOPIK 3.
Interview. The interview is of psychological nature and conducted by university professors. Max score is 60 points.
Two scores are added up and students with the highest overall scores get admitted.

Admission process
If an applicant has an appropriate valid language certificate (list of certificates provided below), he/she is exempted from the language test examination.
- Department of “Preschool education” or “Architecture” - IELTS 5.5 or CEFR B1
- Department of “Korean business administration” - TOPIK 3 and above.
The certificate must be valid and a copy must be submitted within the application period.
Applicants exempted from test examinations automatically get maximum score for the language test, which is 60 points.
Admission process
An interview is a psychological conversation with the university professors. Its main goal is to understand personal characteristics of each candidate and to determine whether they align with the philosophy of a chosen department. Candidates are free to speak in their preferable language and the choice of language does not affect the final score. The university professors evaluate the quality of each answer, rather than language skills of each candidate.
As the majority of professors are Koreans from BCU, if a candidate speaks in a language other than Korean or English, university translators help them.

Each academic program provides students with the opportunity to finish the university in Korea. But studying in Korea is not a mandatory condition. Thus, if a student does not want to study in Korea, he/she can finish whole course in Tashkent. Respectively, said student receives bachelor degree from BUT.

No. According to §4 of the President decree #3821 on “Foundation of Bucheon university in Tashkent” “university graduates receive Bucheon university (Republic Korea)-approved diploma that will be recognized without any additional validation”.

Yes, but only if an applicant was failed to enter the university first time, he/she can apply for the second admission again.

Deposit payment is an obligatory payment of the first admission to secure the seat. Deposit payment is 2 million UZS.
If a student decides to study in the university, deposit goes toward tuition fee payment.
If a student decides against studying in the university, deposit payment is refundable only until the start of each academic year. Once the academic year starts off, refund applications are not accepted.

The university adapted academic program and teaching methods of BCU. Core professors in the university are professors from BCU as well.
Vast majority of the university lectures are taught in Korean. Lectures in the department of “Preschool education” and “Architecture” are translated to Russian or Uzbek. While majority of lectures in the department of “Korean business administration” are in Korean with no translation support.

Academic calendar and evaluation standards are the same as at BCU in Korea.
One academic year consists of 2 semesters; the duration of each is 15 weeks. One academic week consists of 5 days.
Evaluation system. Letters «A», «B», «C», «D» and «F» represent the level academic performance in descending order. Each letter is a mark and reflects scores a student has accumulated over semester. On the 100 scale score distribution is as followed:

Each academic program provides students with the opportunity to finish the university in Korea. But studying in Korea is not a mandatory condition. Thus, if a student does not want to continue his/her studies in Korea, he/she can finish whole course in Tashkent.

In accordance with internal rules of the university, one is not allowed to study in two universities simultaneously. Upon detecting violation of the abovementioned rule, the university has the right to expel a student.
Evening course at the department of preschool education was opened for people who work full time and would like to get undergraduate degree.

The only difference is duration of lecture and shorter academic week in the evening course. Evening courses take place 4 times a week and one academic hour equals 40 minutes, while full time classes are held 5 times a week with one academic hour lasting 50 minutes. Academic programs are identical.

The main academic unit of measure is a credit. There is a minimum number of required credits, one must fulfill in order to get a diploma. For departments with “2+2” program required number of credits for first two years is 80. At least 50 out of 80 credits must be major courses and more than 8 credits – electives.
For department with “3+1” program required number of credits for three years is 120. At least 60 out of 120 must be major courses, at least 12 – elective courses.
If a student does not fulfill the abovementioned number of credits by the end of a respective program (2+2 or 3+1), he/she will not be given a diploma, until he/she fulfills minimum requirements.
Scolarships
As of 2020, there are three types of scholarships the university has launched:
- Admission excellence scholarship. This is a one-time scholarship for candidates with the highest overall scores. Scholarship amount is 50% off yearly tuition fee.
- Academic excellence scholarship. This scholarship is for sophomores and above. Top 10% of students in each department can get it. Amount varies from 30% to 50% off the tuition fee depending on the placement.
- Family support scholarship. The main target group is students from the same family (brothers/sisters). Scholarship amount is equivalent to 15% of tuition fee in respective department. One students from the family get it.
Other questions
No, there is no specified uniform in the university. Although, tidy business attire is highly welcomed.
No sport wear as well as beach (slippers, shorts, tops) outfits are allowed.
Female students are not allowed to wear miniskirts, short dresses or clothes with deep neckline. Extremely bright makeup, massive accessories, transparent clothes or items with open back or shoulders are not allowed either.
